Week Two
February 6 - February 12

February 6

Today I take time to breathe deeply
Spirit means “breath.” Our breath is the link between heaven and earth. Today as I breathe in, I feel the peace of God within my heart. As I breathe out, I let it expand and radiate until my entire Being is filled with Divine peace—the peace that “passeth all understanding.” In that space between the breaths is all the Love I will ever need, all the peace that I desire, all the wisdom I could ever use. As I focus on my breath, I become aware of the Divine Presence that is ever within me; the Presence that is even closer than my breath. I breathe in peace, I breathe out peace. I breathe in love, I breathe out love. I breathe in wisdom, I breathe out wisdom. With each breath, the world is richly blessed. Thank You God, for the gift of Spirit, the breath of life.

February 7

Today I practice forgiveness
Holy Spirit, today I choose peace by practicing forgiveness. The one true Source of peace is Your love within me. When I allow Your healing love to flow through me as unconditional forgiveness, I am at peace. It may be challenging at times, to forgive someone who has harmed me, yet it is often even more difficult to forgive myself. Today I choose to release all judgments and let forgiveness begin with me. Today I forgive myself for every thought, word or deed that may have harmed another. I remember that we are all Your beloved children and I allow Your love to erase all judgments and expectations of perfection. We are all a divine work in process. Thank you God for being my teacher in love as I practice forgiveness.

February 8

Today I am forgiveness in action
Divine Comforter, I am aware that forgiveness is a gift that I give to myself. By allowing Your spirit of loving forgiveness to flow in and through me, from the center of my being to the circumference, and then out to each person who may have wronged me, I bring peace to myself and others. Love is always at hand. I experience its healing warmth first and then extend it to another. Forgiveness comes from love. I choose today to consciously replace angry thoughts and old grudges with love, serenity and forgiveness. Help me this day to remember the teaching: “Forgive them. . . for they know not what they do.” Today, I release my attachments to old wounds and I bless the world with peace of mind and love in my heart.

February 9

Today I take myself lightly
Each time we see pictures of our beautiful planet Earth taken from space, we see our planet, seemingly insignificant and small. Looking at this big picture of the Universe fills me with awe and reverence for God’s creative energy and divine order. I am reminded that feelings and emotions pass, trials and tribulations pass, and that one day, today’s concerns will be forgotten. I remember that much of what occurs in my life today has no eternal significance. I give myself the gift of patience, knowing that daily I am growing in maturity, spirituality and love. As I am patient with myself, I find it easier to be patient with others.
Today I take myself lightly.

February 10

Today I listen without defending
The spiritual masters, each in their own way, taught and demonstrated that practicing nonresistance places one in a position of great power. In listening without defending, we learn all we need to know in every situation and circumstance. Today I move through the day with an open mind and a loving heart. I listen objectively to hear the spoken and unspoken
messages. I let go of defending myself or others, and of judging or criticizing others for their position. This frees me to accept all information and put it to right use, allowing myself and those around me to continually improve and grow in greatness. In the practice of nonresistance lies my strength. Today I listen without defending.

February 11

Today I speak words of encouragement
Just as spring rains and warm sunlight on my garden bring new growth and beautiful flowers, my words of encouragement nurture another’s ability to bloom. When I speak words of encouragement from my heart, what I say may bring comfort, encourage someone to keep on trying, remind someone they are not alone, or simply assure someone they are loved. When I allow myself to be open to speak as Spirit prompts me, I am saying YES to being a voice for God. I recognize that my words are from God because they are loving and reflect the desire for the highest and best for all involved. Today I nurture God’s creations by speaking words of encouragement. Today I speak for God.

February 12

Today I am aware of how my actions affect others
Mother Teresa said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.” Our thoughts, our words and our actions are creative activity, but what are we creating? Today, Blessed Spirit, let me be aware of the power of my words. Let my words as well as my actions be only positive, enriching and uplifting for all those who cross my path today. Today I offer myself to be in service to You by aligning my actions with Your will for the highest good of all. Jesus taught us that to, “...love your neighbor as yourself...” is one of the greatest commandments. Let me express my true nature as a child of God by allowing Divine Love to shine forth from within me, blessing all those whose lives I touch today.
